But how would you get a Representative, or Senator, to add it?

The big push NOW is to pass a CLEAN bill!

This means NO amendments of ANY kind, pro or con regards our gun rights.

ANY amendment forces the bill to go to "conference committee" for resolution, giving the anti's another chance to louse it up.

We want to avoid that if at all possible.

I understand your motivation and desire, but what we really need at this moment is for S. 397 to pass as quickly as possible, utterly devoid of amendments.
Then hammer congress and NRA, GOA, JPFO, etc. to pass some gun-control relief for the little guy in the form of H.R. 2088, H.R. 1703, H.R. 1603, and other pro-RKBA bills listed on this site under "pending legislation". ('Cool')

There is absolutely no chance that the antis could do anything to the bill in conference committee but I understand what you are saying.

I also would like a bill with no amendments.

This was in case the antis tried some sneaky stuff.
