Hi Guys,
I am new to all this and I am confused on a registered Drop In Auto Sear there has been no new ones since 1986 is that correct ? So if you decide to buy one (besides the paper work) you need to find someone who is selling ?
Would like one for my AR-15.
Thanks,

True, no new registered, transferrable drop in auto sears since 1986.
If you want one, you need to first find one for sale. They are less common than registered AR receivers or original M16s & usually cost as much or more. The last one I saw was advertised for $14,000. Who knows what the selling price was - maybe less? I think around $12k is more reasonable. I've also seen original Colt full auto guns for around this.
If you want a DIAS, keep an eye on Sturmgewehr & Subguns. They show up every month or so. |

| One just showed up today on Sturmgewehr - $13,500. If you want one, I'd make an offer pretty quick. |
